An Evening of Hope and Healing is a community event providing information, community resources, and practical, everyday tools to better understand and manage mental health issues including trauma, stress and substance abuse. This event includes exhibits and the opportunity for discussion with numerous mental health providers in Story County. In addition, former Iowa State All-American and WNBA Draftee Lyndsey (Medders) Fennelly will be our keynote speaker and will speak openly about her lived experience with a mental health condition, while inspiring hope and showcasing resiliency with her story.

Where's the Whistle? You Can't Coach Yourself Out of Mental Illness. Lyndsey (Medders) Fennelly is a former Iowa State All-American and WNBA Draftee. She co-founded CampusCycle, Elite 360 Training, a sport development business for athletes in central Iowa that has serviced over 40,000 athletes, and is a motivational speaker and mental health advocate. Lyndsey has been hospitalized twice since 2013 after 2 significant breakdowns and has since shared her story with over 13,000 Iowans in an effort to reduce the stigma. She is also passionate about giving back, a life well lived, and most especially time with her family (Billy - Iowa State Women's Basketball Assistant Coach, Will - 8, Callie - 4).

This is a call to EVERYONE in Story County.

Join us for an evening of ending stigmas and starting the conversation. Brain health is for everyone, let's talk about it.
